As the 2nd anniversary of Deputy House's untimely death approaches, i'm sure the pain may still feel like this incident occurred just yesterday. Jehovah God has promise a marvelous future and a hope for our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. Revelation 21:4 reads "he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." I pray these words from God Word the bible bring comfort to all who knew and loved Deputy House. My deepest sympathy to Deputy House family, friends, and colleagues of the Greensville County Sheriff Office .

Lee House was a great man, deputy and friend. He taught me so much and I always felt like the odds were in my favor when we responded to calls together. The loss of a deputy like Lee impacts more than his immediate family or the local law enforcement community. We all carry a piece of lee with us and we will carry on as we stand on the thin blue line. Wolves protecting the sheep and attempting to bring about enduring peace.

He went to work that day and did not know
This shift he served would bring such sorrow
This call to duty would be his last
His time on earth is now his past
God set this day as his time to go
Rest in peace Deputy House, now a hero
He gave the ultimate sacrifice
With integrity and pride he paid the price
His family, friends and colleagues will mourn
As an angel in heaven he is now reborn
His golden heart stopped beating
Hardworking hands at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the very best.

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Percy was killed.

To Percy's family, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Deputy House gave to his community and the citizens of Virginia, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on January 31, 2014.

Deputy Sheriff House,

Rest well in the arms of the Lord.

To Your Family,

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray, “Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for over three years. Feel those prayers. God is with you, He knows and will ease your pain.

THEIR SACRIFICE IS TREMENDOUS, AND IF THEY COULD, THEY WOULD TELL US

"I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization. I have given my life so that others may live in peace. I have lived my life as a dedicated member of the greatest profession. There is no greater honor.

As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.

You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above."

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO US ALL.
