Kris, your laughter and smile is missed every day. You a thought of often and talked about among friends. You always had a funny story or a joke to make the day seem more bearable and worth the effort. I had the greatest opportunity to be able to work with you. Know that everyone you touch in your life still keeps you in their lives everyday. Every time I drive through BF, I remember some of the "trouble" you and I would get into. You are greatly missed. Good night my brother. I know you are doing well where you are, giving your advice to those around you, whether they need it or not.

My sincere condolences to Officer Willhight daughter, family, friends ,and fellow colleagues. As the 2 anniversary approaches of the incident, i'm sure the pain feels like this incident occurred yesterday. At Revelation 21:4, Jehovah God outlines a wonderful hope for our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. "He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." I pray these words bring comfort to all who knew Officer Willhight.

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Every time I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the officer they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Officer Willhight. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. (The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. I can also be found on Face Book.) You will be in my thoughts & prayers.

From reading the reflections left for Kristian, he sounds like he was a great man with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Kristian's life and the MAN that he was. Remember that Kristian's life was about so much more than the way he died. Kristian will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.

Officer Willhight, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been eight years and he's still very much missed and forever loved.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)

He went to work that day and did not know
This shift he served would bring such sorrow
This call to duty would be his last
His time on earth is now his past
God set this day as his time to go
Rest in peace Officer Willhight, now a hero
He gave the ultimate sacrifice
With integrity and pride he paid the price
His family, friends and colleagues will mourn
As an angel in heaven he is now reborn
His golden heart stopped beating
Hardworking hands at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the very best.

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Kristian was killed.

To the Wilhight family, fellow officers, and all who call Kristian beloved, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Officer Wilhight gave to his community and the citizens of Oklahoma, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on January 23, 2014

Officer Willhight,

Rest well in the arms of God.

To Your Family,

Feel His presence as God answers the prayers of many who have fallen to their knees on your behalf. Since the day of my son's death, I have carried every law enforcement officer and their family in my heart.

Every morning I go to my knees. During that time I pray, “Lord, Be with all law enforcement officers. Keep them safe and free from harm. They are Your soldiers on the front line of the battle against evil. If one should fall this day - wrap their family in your loving arms. Surround them with Your angels, loving family, friends, neighbors and caring people to comfort them. Ease their pain. Help them to mourn well. In Jesus' name and for Your Glory, Amen.”

I have lifted you and your family to God every morning for over three years. Feel those prayers. God is with you, He knows and will ease your pain.
