Hello, Micheal...
it’s Aryiel , your best friend/grand daughter. i just wanted to say that i’m now in 7th grade. When you died I had to go to a counselor for the remaining year. anyways, Mom got a new house and i love it. After you passed, a few years later uncle hammer had a son named Brandon Rae Watkins, and then Benjamin. I’m sure you’d love them if you were here. I miss you a lot :( i can’t wait to see you again, soon. this year it’s a world wide pandemic taking over, i hate it, school is online now. But if you were to be here i’d give you a huge hug❤️

Not a day goes by that you are not on mind. Everything you told me makes so much sense now. I just wish you were here for me to be able to tell you in the physical. I love you Pop.

Sorry I never had a chance to say goodbye. Your death could have been prevented if certain people had done what they were supposed to. Thanks for the laughs and warm greetings. May you rest in eternal peace

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Michael died.

To Michael's family, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in our area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Supervisor Baskett gave to his community and the citizens of North Carolina, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on November 26, 2013.
