It takes a very dedicated individual to serve their community in law enforcement as a volunteer. To put your life on the line for free speaks volumes of your devotion. Rest in peace Officer Libke. Thank you for your service.

I have laid down my life in service to all of you.
I have been a part of the fabric that has held the line between your safety and your victimization. I have given my life so that others may live in peace. I have lived my life as a dedicated member of the greatest profession. There is no greater honor.

As I now become a part of the rich history of law enforcement, please remember me always for I have left behind those who loved and depended upon me.
My partners and my agency, please remember my family, their loss, and don’t let time soften your compassion for them.

You guard the gate now and I will continue my watch from above.

MAY YOU REST IN PEACE AND MAY YOUR FAMILY FIND COMFORT IN THE GOOD YOU HAVE DONE HERE ON EARTH.

I did not know you. I never had the honor of working with you, or along side of you. You are family. Your a brother of the thin blue line, who paid the ultimate sacrifice, protecting and serving the community you loved. You were not in this profession to get a big paycheck, as you didn't get one.

Like you, I started out as a reserve, and could not have more respect for you.

You sir, rest easy at the gates of heaven as we have the watch from here.
May our brothers and sisters who've proceeded you greet you with open arms and a shield from heaven, as yours will be honored here on earth.

You are a hero, and showed the ultimate display of valor. God Bless you, Rest in Peace!

Reserve cops are an interesting breed. As a retired reserve deputy sheriff of 30 years, I have come to know quite a few. I respect them all for the selfless service, putting their life on the line for little or no monetary compensation. The only thing reserves get is a feeling of self worth and a chance to help the full time officers as well as the community they serve. I am so sad at the loss of a reserve officer killed in the line of duty. RIP my fellow helper. I will remember you.
