Officer Schultz, today I attended your tribute at the cemetery. I felt proud to be there to honor and remember you. However, I also felt a deep sadness knowing that you were shot and killed by two evil men who took you away from your immediate family (five kids and your wife ), you were only thirty seven years old and did not get the chance to grow old with your wife and watch your children grow up. You were just doing your job.You did it with bravery, courage, honor and commitment. Thank you for your service and sacrifice, we who have served after you, salute you. I wish I could say that in 122 years since you were killed for no good reason, that things have changed, but that's not the case. Rest in peace Officer Schultz, know that the brotherhood will never forget a brother officer, no matter the decades or centuries that have passed. The brotherhood is forever and ever. The good lord has probably assigned you to be a Guarding Angel and you are probably watching over brother officers, after all, that's what we do best, protect and serve. Rest in peace.
