Officer Michael Crain I thank you for doing your job and being a police officer, we all know not everyone could do that. You were ambushed doing your job and training a new Officer at 1 in the morning while i'm sleeping soon to wake up for school. My condolences to your family, your son and daughter who will not grow up with their father but will grow up with the legacy you left for them, your brothers and sisters in the RPD as-well as anyone who wants to pursuit a career in law enforcement. Rest in Peace

Praying for your family, and praying that your killer will be caught before he takes more innocent lives. Rest in peace, brother.

Your work is done here on Earth - Heaven has called upon you today, leaving so many words left to say. But now it's too late, for your time has come, words unspoken; I am sure everybody has some. Regrets and wishes are probably there too, but lasting forever are memories of you.
There have been many times that we waved to each other, but we were there for each other in time of need. Now it's time for us to say Good-Bye, until we meet again in heaven to fly. Now go and Patrol the Heavens Above and Watch Below those you Love. Thank you for your service.

I don't even want to think how Officer Crain's wife feels at this moment. There are no exact words to even begin to explain what she and her family are going through. My strongest condolences go out to all of them, along with all the officers who have passed away on the line of duty. There are too many bad things happening to great people now a days and it is extremely unfortunate. It always fills me with rage upon hearing that officers pass away because of a knuckle head crook. It should never be our law enforcement team or our military personnel who are getting hurt because they are the ones who deserve the upmost respect. Officer Michael Crain was born a hero, and will always be a hero.

Rest in Peace Officer Michael Crain. Thank you for everything that you did for our community. History has taught us over and over again that freedom is not free. When push comes to shove, the ultimate protectors of freedom and liberty are the brave men and women in our armed forces. Throughout our history, they've answered the call in bravery and sacrifice.

I can only imagine what the Crain family is going through at this time. I can admit that i take it for granted every day when i wake up, thinking that my entire family will return to the dinner table at night for a family meal. I cannot fathom how people like Christopher Dorner can just end someones life who they do not even know, and can just walk away without caring that the victims family will never be able to see their husband/father ever again and that they did not even get to say good-bye. I do not understand how Christopher Dorner can do such a thing while till thinking of himself as a human being. Rest in peace Officer Michael Crain, and may your memory live for ever.

As One who has retired from the US Marine Corps, as well as from Law Enforcement, I was truly-saddened when I received the news. Officer Crain is already being remembered by Marine Families, who follow-me on my US Marine Corps Facebook sites.

Today, I am The Guest on two nationwide radio shows, where I will remind The Listeners that We must NOT forget The Victims in this tragic chain-of-events.

God grant eternal rest and peace to his soul and to his family and friends who are grief stricken.

I am only guessing, i do not know, but wonder if at 34, he not only leaves behind a young family, his wife and children, but also parents who are grieving the loss of their son. Siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, close friends. My heart breaks with all of them. I lost my 32 year old nephew last May - a parole and probation officer for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. He too was "ambushed" - beaten and shot to death. Such loss is devastating to so many. God bless you all.
