Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Special Officer Leroy Wise

No passage of time will ever erase your service and sacrifice. Rest in peace always.

On this 99th anniversary of your heroic effort and tragic death, I thank this site for including you so as to acknowledge that effort and sacrifice. I can only hope that at least one of the occupants was aiding you.

There is always a real fear of vehicles getting stuck or stalled on crossings. You put the safety of those people as well as the crew of the freight train ahead of your own. Yes, as Tracy Corley said, "A hero indeed you are."

God Bless you and may your rest be eternally peaceful, Brother.
