Your 18 year old daughter married my grandfather, gave birth to my mother who gave birth to me. Ironically I just found your link 21 years into my law enforcement career and also 45 years old.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
GOD Bless

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 75th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

This shooting was such a terrible tragedy, not only was a lawman ambushed and killed, but a 20 year old woman and a 9 year old girl were seriously injured, with the young woman apparently dying of her injuries a week later. Four other men were less seriously injured in the gunfire.
