As a Chicago police officer, many describe our work as dangerous, dealing with street-level drug dealers.

That said, my deepest respect for the front line officers that defend this entire Country. The work done by the men and women of the USBP is so critical. Your work is infinitely more dangerous & important.

To the family & friends of Border Patrol Agent Nicholas Ivie, please know that your loss is being felt across the U.S. As an officer, Nicholas will live on in the work that I do, and will do.

I dedicate my work to Nicholas and the other countless officers appearing on ODMP

I never thought, I would be writting on a memorial for one of my classmates. Ivie my brother in green, I have nothing, but beautiful memories of you.

A man who led by example: a family man, man of God, calm and respectful towards his peers.

"Hold the line, hold the border, Class 733 will keep the order" our last chant together at graduation March 28, 2008.

I know you are in a good place looking over us now and surrounded by the other brothers who made the ultimate sacrifice. I promise you that we will pick up where you left off.

Brother i ask you in return, that in any trail we walk, vehicle stop we conduct and suspect's we encounter, you'll be there guiding and watching our every step.

Until we meet again, Rest In Peace Ivie!!

USBP, Artesia, NM Class 733 Sec A.

Our leaders have failed us. You can not stop scum from killing Men and Women that make the foundation of our free society, but we can have leadership to secure our border to stop these evil men.

Agent Ivie has paid the ultimate price for our peoples freedom and safety.

Everyone please add these men and Women and their families in your prayers today.
