Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Border Patrol Agent Leopoldo Cavazos, Jr.

I'm Free Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took His hand when I heard him call.
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day.
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that place at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss.
Ah yes, these things I, too, will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much.
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seems all too brief.
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me.
God wanted me now. He set me free.... Deepest Sympathy To The Family And Friends Border Patrol Agent Leopoldo Cavazos, Jr...May You Feel The Presence Of God And May He Keep You Surrounded By Love .....Is My Prayer ...amen...

A true case of horror for both your family and the nation as a whole. The Border Patrol performs a vital function, despite the insane odds, the constant lack of resources and a somewhat indifferent government. You had your life taken in a fight that many see as unwinnable but a fight that must be fought. I admire your efforts and those of your colleagues and I thank GOD every day for your being there. You did NOT deserve this however, neither did your family.

God Bless you and may you forever Rest in Peace, Brother.

Rest in peace, brother. The verses below have comforted me in times such as these. I hope they impart some sense of peace to the family, friends, and agents who knew and loved BPA Cavazos.

"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And He said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son." - Revelation 21:3-7
