I met Mike before he became an officer. You couldn't ask for a more loyal friend. He knew how to pick you up when you were sad and he always, always made me smile. My heart is broken for his wife and baby girl. The world was a better place with him in it.

One never really knows what to say at a time like this. No words are adequate, but thank you Investigator Walters for your service to the people of Pearl. Your life and your service will NEVER be forgotten. It will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved you and also in the hearts of those who did not have the pleasure of knowing you personally. God bless his wife, daughter, parents, other relatives and his fellow officers. May the Lord hold them in his arms and comfort them with His love through this difficult time. I do believe, as a Christian, there is a reason for everything. As we all know, during times like this, you have to wonder what reason God would have to allow this to happen. We just have to trust that God is in control. Investigator Walters is walking on streets of gold right now, beside his Father. He has received his ultimate honor. Rest in peace Sir.
