Reflections for Police Chief Michael Patrick Maloney

RIP Uncle Mike. Thanks to all the officers and civillians who posted there condolences. There really is no better way for a officer to live than the way my uncle did. He was and always will be the in our hearts and prayers. Love you Uncle Mike. I hope you are comfortable in heaven. I will do my best to take care of Serena, Mikey, and MJ. Take care when on duty. Your family's should never have to go through this. Thanks to all officers in law enforcment.

My uncle was the type of person that made life a little better for everyone that knew him. His sacrifice, though it hurts, was the type of action expected from him down to the end of his watch. Officers around the country and world I hope have the same dedication he did to his family, friends, community and state. He will always be missed and never forgotten. To any other law enforment officers, please take caution and thanks for your service to help better our communities. R.I.P. Uncle Mike. I love you and miss you. I will do my best to take care of Serena, Mikey, and Michael Jacob. Although those are some big shoes to fill.

Take care all members of law enforcement. To all officers taken in the line of duty, may you all RIP. Thank you

ANGEL’S IN BLUE
I had this friend you see,
who loved God, Country, You and me.
My friend worked day or night, the peace to keep,
so you and I could go to sleep.
He worked the holidays and weekends,
away from family and friends.
Each day this friend put his life on the line
to spare yours and mine.
Then one day he paid the price,
he had to give his life.
"You've done well my friend,
patrolling these earthly streets.
Now it's time to walk on Heaven's beat."
The next time you see a Police Officer or two,
remember they are one of God's Angels in Blue.

***And God said; "Blessed are the Peace Makers."

Chief Maloney,

Sir you are the example all Chiefs of Police should aspire to. You truly are the sheepdog. May your memory never fade. You confronted the wolf and gave your life not only protecting your community, but the men who served under your command. God bless you sir.

I wrote a long drawn out statement, but deleted it. It muddied my point, which is simply THANK YOU, YOU ARE A HERO. Not only to those who knew you, but to this cop's kid on the other side of the country. My love to you and your family

Safely Home

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's Will.

There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth--
You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!

Rest in peace, Chief!! There is no greater sacrifice than a man giving everything so others may live, that is exactly what you have done.

Listening to your family and friends at your memorial service yesterday I now know just how many people you have made a significant impact on in your life. You truly are a cop's cop, as US. Attorney General Holder said. I did not have the privilege of knowing you myself, nonetheless, I feel as though I did. You are the epitome of a policeman, friendly to all, and as unselfish as they come.

May you rest well Sir, we have the watch from here.

A long long time ago
I can still remember how
That music used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And maybe they'd be happy for a while
But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step
I can't remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride
But something touched me deep inside
**The day the music died**

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Matthew 5:9

Future Law Enforcement Officer

His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Officer. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"
