my condolences to your loss i once was also a employee for the texas department of corrections and now i work for hidalgo county sheriffs office i enjoy my profession and dont understand why these people feel that we are the ememy we are here to protect their families as well as ours but still they think we are to blaim for their mistakes is it that they feel threatened by us yes our jobs are dangerous but we all have a job to do every time i go out on the road i prey that if i dont return for God to put my family in his hands and show them aswell as others that we only do this as a calling its not just a job we do this for a reason to serve and not for the credit.

It is extremely heart wrenching when we lose one of own, especially as a result of a senseless act of violence. It’s a tough job which generally goes unappreciated by those who do not understand the dangers you faced day end and day out to keep the public safe.
Rest in peace and know you will always be remembered by all whom serve in our profession. God Bless you and your loved ones.
