I pray that your family is healing. This has to be one of the hardest law enforcement jobs ever. Most times covering a whole park alone. With not many people actually understanding the importance of your job. I've been there. My prayers are with your family. May you rest in peace sister in blue.

As someone who has hiked around Rainier and has always appreciated the service and dedication of the rangers, this saddens me deeply.

Always so sad to hear of a member of law enforcement gunned down by a cowardly individual who would rather make money thru crime and hurting people than live in polite society. I salute you Ranger Anderson on a job well done, and offer my prayers and condolances to your Blessed family.

Securitas Security Service

Thank you Ranger Anderson for your service. My heart hurts for you and your family. I lost both of my parents when I was 4 yrs old to violent crime. I wish your children the best in life even though one of the best parts is gone. I'm so sorry.

As I drove I 40 through Tennessee today I saw signs remembering several officers; but no way to know who they were, what they accomplished, and whom they left behind. Thank you for this site that helps us to learn a little about them all.

Thank you, Ranger Anderson. My sympathies and best wishes to you - the family. Good memories will come

I remember reading about this remarkable ranger and her sacrifice earlier this year not knowing I would visit the park while on Vacation. Looking up at the cloud covered summit on a bright Sunday morning, I was brought back to the story and reflected on the sacrifice she made. The beauty of Mt. Rainier National Park can attest to the greatness of her spirit. Rest In Peace
