Reflections for Police Officer I Deriek W. Crouse

I want to thank each and every Officer in this great country for protecting us on a daily basis. I for one think you should all get paid a lot more then you do. I hope that Deriek W. Crouse did not suffer and I thank him for his serving in both the Army and the police Dept. It is people like Deriek that make the world a better place. May GOD bless his family and may he rest in peace.

Officer Crouse,

You toiled so hard for those you loved.
You said goodbye to none,
your spirit flew before we knew,
your work on earth was done.

We miss you now, our hearts are sore,
as time goes by we miss you more.
Your loving smile, your gentle face:
no one can fill your vacant place.

Your life was love and labor.
Your love for your family true.
You did the best for all of us.
We will always remember you.

Mrs. Crouse and Sons,
My thoughts and prayers are with you now. I will think of Officer Crouse whenever I see our motto, Ut Prosim.

Officer Crouse,

Words cannot express how much respect and admiration I have for you, and now therefore your family. Although I never had the privilege of meeting you, I know that your service helped keep students, and citizens, safe. I thank you so much for that. I'm sorry that you had to lose your life in a senseless and heinous act of violence and I know that you are watching over us and your family from Heaven. Rest in peace, knowing that the Hokie Nation has welcomed your family into our lives and will continue to support your family.

Thank you for your service Officer Crouse. Many think that there are no dangers for campus police but yet in the world we live in today, campus policing is just as dangerous as city or county policing.

Your brothers and sisters in blue have you and your family in prayers all across the world.

Thank you for protecting and serving others.
