I have not seen Brad for a number of years but our family remembers him fondly.

I thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

To the Glendale Police Department:

I am sorry for your loss. However, I commend you for your quick and decisive action in apprehending the lowlife that took Brad from his wife, daughters, and family and your extended "blue" family. Good work and thank you for your service!

Isaiah 57
King James Version

1The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.

2He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness

Revelation 14:13
King James Version

13And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Be not dismayed. The LORD has a place for the doers of his word.

What a sad ending. So young! Rest in peace.

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

For those of us that knew Brad personally, he was truly a remarkable spirit. I had seen Brad on patrol for years, made small talk, but it wasn’t until about a year ago, that I started to really get to know him. He was genuinely a great person, not just a great officer.

Brad answered a calling that most cannot muster. When asked to combat evil, he raised his hand and said, I will. When asked to help the citizens of this city, when they needed us most, he said, Count me in. When asked to comfort a person in their darkest hour, he did with it compassion and honor.

Psalm 30: verse 5 says:

Weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.

We will surely weep for Brad more than one night, but let us also rejoice in the life that he shared with us. It was a precious gift for us that worked with him, for those of us that knew him, that we will cherish forever.

I wanted his family to know, that Brad touched all of our lives in ways that many of us haven’t fully realized yet. His kindness, his smile and desire to make a difference for others, will resonate throughout our lives for years to come and his memory will live on in our hearts and minds forever.

Brad, Thank you .

My heart goes out to the family of Office Brad Jones. I wish that everyone knew how hard these young people work to get into this type of life and to have it suddenly and needlessly taken away is just almost more that we can bear. Know that other families are thinking of you, praying for you, wishing with you that this didn't happen. Bless all you brave men and women in law enforcement.

I have attended 9 funerals for police officer friends of mine and my father's since 1969. It was bad then, it has become a very serious situation....our men and women in uniform who serve us every day have become targets. PLEASE...support them...their dedication and sacrifice is extraordinary and is deserving of the community's backing. To the bad guys out there...beware, you take from us our loved ones....you will stand before Him...hell awaits you....

Brad,
though i did not know you on a personal level, I knew you. I know the in and out and daily grind of being a beat officer.

It never gets easier to say goodbye to a fellow officer. When the news came out over our dispatch that a Glendale officer was down, I stopped right where I was. I spent a few seconds praying for healing to surround you. I switched by attention directly towards any and all family members that you might have had. I pray that Cindy and the kids feel the ever lasting love and comfort of a God who sometimes doesnt make any sense to us.

Brad,
Like so many before you, and those unknown that will follow, you died too young but from stories ive heard the old saying is true, "The good die young"

Thank you Brad. You will never be forgotten. Your family will survice this with the help of a super natural power i pray that embraces them. They will miss you im sure, we will take care of them.
