Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Marshall E. Hensley

Obviously Marshall Hensley's death was many years ago....but He IS family. Marshall Hensley was the oldest
brother of my Gr Gr grandfather, Frank Hensley, on my mother's side (Wanda Hensley, Louisville, Ky). I am very proud to have an ancestor, who paid (unfortunately), the ultimate price in doing his duty. God bless & rest in peace.

Deputy Hensley was the older brother of my grandmother's father in law. He was my great-great Uncle. His death happened long ago, but all brave men and women who die in the line of duty, must never be forgotten.

The death of my great great Uncle Marshal happened a long time ago. I wish I had known about this when my grandmother (daughter-in-law of Marshall's brother) was alive. I'm certain she knew more of what happened.
I post this as a remembrance to his memory and the dangers of serving in law-enforcement.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 129th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace
