You sacrificed your life for your country and your community. You've given more then anyone could possibly even asked for. I just hope your life will not go unnoticed and/or recognized. No one can understand what our lives endure as a police officer and they can't even realize what our families go through. This is the fear they have knowing that we're doing something we love without any hesitation in putting our lives in jeopardy for many who we don't even know. Many don't understand but your brothers and sisters do. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND KNOW YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN MY BROTHER, BLUE LOVE!

For Officer Jeremy Henwood:

Our duty as law officers is fraught with risk. The situation whereby another would take an officer completely by surprise with a firearm is the act of a low-life and a coward - one who knows the risk of dealing with a professional law officer head-on. We regret the loss of Jeremy, a soldier-of-the-law, and a veteran military man who would, given the opportunity, survive an encounter with his killer given half-a-chance. We rejoice that fellow officers were able to to bring about justice in this case. We rely upon our fellow officers every day.

We pray for Jeremy's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about him. May they be ready to reach-out to one another in the days ahead.

We are proud to render a final salute to Officer Jeremy Henwood, a valiant and noble brother-in-blue.

Cpl. Ralph D. Fiorenza (Ret.)
Pennsylvania State Police
