Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Trooper Andrew Thomas Wall

Although our paths never crossed, your face and your story will be forever impounded in my heart and soul. You see, I was up in a room at Stonecrest Hospital when this tragic event occurred. I, a year older than you, was having my first ever relapse which would later give me the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. I was supposed to have gone to the air show that weekend with my husband (7 months) into our marriage. He was also a firefighter and me, an extrication technician on the Rescue Squad. So no officer Wall, I never got to meet you, however, you carry a dear part of my heart always and forever. Rest in peace and know that your friends and family are carrying on your memories!

I wish you were here to turn 47 tomorrow. 10 years seems like 10 days ago for us, we miss you dearly. Still not a day goes by that I do not think about you. I never wanted to go through this crazy world without my brother, a best friend.
I visualize you at peace, no sadness or anxiety in your life, no feelings of hurt, brokenness or anger, knowing how much you were loved without a doubt.
Until we meet again, always in my heart.

I'm honored to be a part of several hundred motor units from across the United States that are currently at Ronald Reagan Metro Airport in Washington, D.C. preparing for National Police Memorial Week. Those motor units and I will be escorting family members and co-workers of law enforcement officers that were killed in the line-of-duty to and from several ceremonial events.

Andy, you're greatly missed in Dickson County and throughout Middle Tennessee!

Tom, Wendy, Rachel and others, you will be in my thoughts and prayers during these memorial events.....

Thinking of you a lot lately. I do hope your family is doing ok and things are getting a little easier for them. You are an wonderfully funny man and lit up whatever space you were ever in. Prayers and hugs to your loved ones. Miss you and the way you could make my brother lighten up and smile.

I know that it has been a little while since I last logged on but that down not mean that I am not thinking about you and your family each and everyday. I still replay that day in my daily thoughts and at night while I sleep I still run that day through my mind looking for something that I could have done different. Brother you will never be forgotten, and I know that you are missed each and every day by those that was in your inner circle. I am so sorry that I failed at my job that day for not getting you home at the end of the day. I am so sorry and I hope one day that I will get to see you again and explain it all to you, from my side of this tragic day! Take care brother and rest in peace, you deserve it!!!!!

It is hard to believe that one year has passed. It still doesn't seem real, yet today is a reminder that it is very real indeed. Know that that I am thinking of you and your family today and praying that we all continue to heal. I know that we will ride again together in the future. Rest in Peace Andy.
