Craig Birkholz and I served in the U.S. Army together for about three years. We went to war together and made it back safe. He was a good friend and a good team mate. I'm sure he was a great officer. Rest in peace brother.

Such tragedy for an office and family. The job is tireless and thankless until one is taken too early at the hands of another. The selfless act Officer Birkholz did in defending the community he works in I am sure will never be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family. Forever be proud of what an honorable life he lived.
