Reflections for Police Officer David Scott Crawford

I have known Dave for about 5 years now. Bucs games, hanging out with friends and the Ice Bucket incident. Will never forget his sense of humor and loyalty to those he loved. Rest in Peace Dave, you will truly be missed by all of those who loved you in return.

Rest in Peace Sir..............

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God" Matthew 5:9 NIV. Officer Crawford placed his life and safety between evil and the community he served. He will always be remembered as a true hero. We know how our brothers and sisters with the St.Pete PD feel, as Tampa PD has lost three officers recently who were also gunned down by those who would commit evil instead of good. Our thoughts and prayers are with Officer Crawford's wife, daughter, family and friends.

I am not in law enforcement but my heart aches for the loss of another police officer. You choose to uphold the laws of our land and protect us. To give your life is the ultimate sacrifice. You all have a special bond with each other that has no agency or location boundaries. It makes me as a average citizen very grateful and thankful to each of you. There is now another special "enforcement" angel watching over each and every one of us. May you all find peace and continue on doing a very important job. God Bless!

Another Officer, just doing his job and paying the ultimate sacrifice and for what a community that does not care and the paranoid feeling you get with your own administration. God rest Crawfords soul,I hope that no life, scumbag of human waste, gets what he deserves. I would like to see him get the death sentence, but the supreme court sais it's cruel and unusual, to put a teenager to death, what about the life taken and the the family that has to grieve his lost.

His Judgment Day:
The officer stood and faced his God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shinning, Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, Officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek To my church have you been true?"
The officer squared his shoulder and said, "No, Lord, I guess I aint, Because those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was rough, And sometimes I've been violent Because the streets are tough.
But I never took a penny That wasn't mine to keep.. Though I worked a lot of overtime, when the bills got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God forgive me, I've wept an unmanly tear.
I know I don't deserve a place among the people here. They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here, Lord, it needn't be so grand. I never expected or had too much, But if you don't...I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne, where the saints often trod. As the officer waited quietly for the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, Officer. You've borne your burdens well. Come walk a beat on heaven's streets, You've done your time in hell"

Avenue of the Fallen

Standing at attention in their class “A“ uniforms, badges gleaming and shoes like glass, are your brothers and sisters of Law Enforcement. All of whom have previously paid the ultimate price.
Today, like many others, they welcome you to this wonderful place. As you march down the Avenue of the Fallen, all eyes focus on you as if to say its ok you’re with your eternal partners. A salute is followed and a tear can be seen on so many faces.
Welcome, you served well.
Now come join us in the ranks, another is coming home.

God bless the family, friends & Department of this hero. He was doing a job for all these years that most would run from. You cannot imagine what this heritage has seen. Bless all the heros who wear a badge only to be shot at, disrespected, but do it day in & day out. May the family warm themselves in the fact they were loved by a HERO!
