Reflections for Sergeant Adam Greg Rosenthal

It's been a long time ago that you were the Defensive Tactics Coordinator for Delray Beach Police Department, and it was my fortune to work with you. As I get ready to teach Below 100 at our In-Service this year, I will be honoring your memory, and you will be saving lives today as you did in the past. Miss You Brother.

John 5:28, 29 - "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I pray that everyone can find peace in knowing that we will see this officer as well as many others again in Paradise soon. Until then, please accept my condolences.

Remembering Sgt. Adam Rosenthal today. As a Below 100 instructor, we use his situation as a reminder to all officers and save lives. There is no doubt his community still feels the loss from such a great man... He certainly was community minded and oriented and a fine example for others in LE to follow. May his tragic event be used to continue to impact others in a positive way to change and help us reduce the LOD below 100.

We miss you brother, there will never be another Sgt like you. Thank you for all the work you did with us on the mats and all the police work you taught us on the streets. Delta-21 will never be forgotten...

I am proud to say I knew Sgt. Rosenthal personally. He was a great officer. He did so much for the community. He was a member of our SWAT Team, and even taught martial arts to underprivileged children. I personally attended Sgt. Rosenthal's funeral, and it was one of the saddest I have had to attend. RIP Sarge. You are forever in our hearts and minds.

Sergeant Adam Rosenthal died while going to work to serve and protect his community with his life if necessary. To the four children of Sgt. Rosenthal: Your father has not nor will ever be forgotten because he was a good person and treated his fellow officers with respect. I did not know your father, but I have heard about your father from the father of a Delray Officer who resides in Syracuse, NY, and that father talks highly of your father. Law Enforcement Officers who die in the Line Of Duty will never ever be forgotten. Peace be with you all.

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Every time I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the officer they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Sergeant Rosenthal. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. (The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. I can also be found on Face Book.) You will be in my thoughts.

From reading the reflections left for Adam, he sounds like he was a great man with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Adam's life and the MAN that he was. Remember that Adam's life was about so much more than the way he died. Adam will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.

Sergeant Rosenthal, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been eight years and he's still very much missed and forever loved.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)
