Scripture assures us that, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called [children] of God.” Matthew 5:9 ESV and “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13 ESV.

My faithful servant.
You were called upon to serve others.
You were asked to see, what no man should ever have to see.
To go through, what no man should ever have to go through.
But you did so with pride, honor, and integrity.

My faithful servant.
You were called upon to defend those, who could not defend themselves.
To provide justice to those, who did not respect it.
To lay down your life, if the time called for it.
Again, you did not question what was asked of you.
You did it with love, compassion, and loyalty.

My faithful servant.
In times of adversity, you prayed for strength.
In times of triumph, you praised your Lord.
You served your Country, State, and city proud.
Your service will forever be remembered by the many lives you’ve touched.

My faithful servant.
When your service on this earth is finally complete.
I will welcome you home with open arms.
I will embrace you and proclaim,
“Well done thou good and faithful servant.”

Rest in peace my brother...you are not forgotten

I'm from a Criminal Justice Academy doing a research project about fallen officers. I may not have known this officer, but from what I've read he must have been a great officer of the law and a great man. I am going to give a speech about this courageous man in front of my class, and show that his actions will never be forgotten and hang his picture on our wall next to all the other fallen officers. I appreciate everything he has done for the greater good and for what he did.

I think about this Brother daily. He was everything that people have written about and more. He was my Friend, Brother and Cousin. Although no one is perfect, he epitomized all of the best that could be exemplified by a human being. I know I'll see him in Heaven. I thank God for allowing me to know him. He had a profound and positive impact upon all who truly knew him. Everyone who knew him, loved David.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.

Rest In Peace.

I met Officer Williams long before he became a Police Officer. We met and worked together in Los Angeles (Fox Hills Mall, (If anyone has the Christmas pictures from 83' I'm probably in a few ), after he'd been laid off by the auto industry( which he spoke fondly and often. David would say, "They lay you off, but they always call you back, and the money is worth going back". I really enjoyed David's company and thought about him often after he left California, to return to work in the auto industry, in Michigan.
You do not meet people like 'David Williams' very often, once in a lifetime maybe, and although I never knew of his passing, until right now, I often wondered whatever became of David William.David was a shoe-in for police work, (An ideal Police Officer) Nice, friendly, unpretentious, solicitous, wholesome, helpful, generous to a fault, pleasing personality, which is all why I looked him up today. I could write a book on our friendship. I'll tell David's other friend here,'Tony Jennings,' of what became of David William. To his Family, God Bless You, and to officer David Williams, It was a pleasure knowing you! God Bless, RIP. Your friend Vincent, Rhonda, Popper,Tony, Atila, and the entire California crew.

David, you and I share a special kinship. When you were injured and I came and saw about you. When I was hit in almost the same exact spot, you came and saw about me. We counseled, consoled, and laughed together. I miss my friend. Carol and I speak of you often. She grew up knowing you. Our prayers continue to go to the family. Rest well Dave.
