My Grandmother Savannah Georgie (nee-Heatherley) Green was a sister to Monroe Heatherly who shot and killed Sheriff James O. West; back on Aug 11, 1925.
After talking with family members I would like say we send our deepest sympathy to the James O. West family. GrandmotherGreen said Monroe had some mental problems for quit some time and had lost contact with the real world. I have some photos of Monroe Heatherley while serving time at Eddiesville Prison died there in 1954; grandma said no one claimed his body but didn't know why.
Will answer and question I might know the answer to.
