Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Officer David Lamar Curtis

As I watched the news unfold on tv with my family I couldn't believe it had happened again. I take a special interest in TPD. I was in the process of leaving the NYPD to join Tampa's Finest. I met some great guys down there, one of which is still with TPD. As I watched the news unfold I thought of him and instantly texted him to see if he was ok. Thank god he was. Standing the line looking for your killer. May you rest in peace brother. Although I am still with the NYPD, TPD is still in my heart. Rest easy, you will not be forgotten...

Most can not understand why we do this job, but I assure you that these reasons are never selfish. To have lived your life with courage, honor and in service of others, is a life well lived. To the family left behind, please find solace knowing your loved one has made a difference in this world and that you again will be together in paradise. Thank you my brother officer for your service and now, rest in peace.
