To the Family, Friends and Co-Workers of Trooper Castellano,

My heart is breaking for the pain you are going through and will continue to go through. My husband Trooper Gary Brandt is the classmate of Trooper Bert Zimmerman (EOW 2/5/04) and through his tragic death we have had the privilege of becoming close with his wife and other members of the Survivors Of The Triangle who I know are going to be there for you in the days, weeks, months and years ahead. While I know there is nothing that can take away the pain and grief you are feeling, please take some comfort in knowing that a state and country are mourning with you and that Marc's brothers and sisters in Blue and Gold will never forget him and will always be there for you. And Gary and I will be in Washington, D.C. next year during National Police Week to help you honor and remember Marc's life and sacrifice.

Marc, although I never knew you, we share the same bond, that thin blue line, which means I would give my life for you haven't not even met you. My wishes and prayers go to your family and the New Jersey State Police. You served your tour in hell Marc, now you will continue you in Heaven alongside St. Michael. God Bless you, and my brother, you will always be remembered but NEVER forgotten!

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!
(Mary Frye)

Godspeed Mark your wife and children are in my thoughts and will be everyday as will the sacrifice you made... I am wishing for peaceful thoughts to fill the hearts of your loved ones may they remember your smile and love and may they be filled with times of laughter and happiness and the love you all shared during the days, weeks, months and years to come... rest now we'll take it from here...
