Reflections for Trooper Patrick Ambroise

Your heroism and service is honored today, the second anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know that both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their refletions.

I had the Honor of having your family at my house today, your wife is a beautiful woman and your daughters are gorgeous. She speaks of you with such love that it feels that I know you even if I never had the pleasure of meeting you. We have become friends, don't worry she has a great head on her shoulder.

For Trooper Patrick Ambroise:

Our duty on patrol takes us onto one of the most dangerous battlefields - a United States highway. Each day the death toll is greater than any of those experienced in war. Yet, this is our work station and the risk is multiplied by our presence there to assist others. We regret learning of Patrick as being another statistic while performing his duty.

We pray for Patrick's family, friends, co-workers and all who care about him. We pray they assist one another as the needs arise.

I am proud to render Trooper Patrick Ambroise a final salute.
