Hey Pritch,

Just looking over our pictures from our deployment. You and your bald head haha... I miss you buddy you were one hell of a guy and a great friend. You are missed everyday. From the day i got to the unit in May-06 you showed me the correct way to be a soldier. Then our deployment together and you always stealing my computer while i was on guard and using all the battery life! Then roommates once we returned back. I love you man. Miss you brother. Always a hero in my eyes.

Chad was a great guy, he was my partner and best friend. He was a great addition to the department and tried his best at all he did and was good at his job the short time he was with us on the road. Chad had a attitude that was needed in this line of work, I miss him dearly and wished that we could work one more beat together. It has been 3 years but his memory still lives on along with his achievements in life, I pray that one day I'll see you again my brother in blue, my side kick, and now my guardian angel.

Rest In Peace.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the second anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for the solace of all those who love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace today. Thanks to your friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their reflections.

Rest In Peace.

Chad,
It's been a long time since our trips up and down Route Malibu during OIF 06-08. I definately remember watching all the UFC fights on the computer with you. You were a great Soldier and great friend. All that time in Iraq and you didn't get a scratch and then this. Miss you brother...you keep em straight up there.

Chad...

Its been a long time. I remember OIF 06-08. I remember you helping me change the engine, transmission and transfer case in your truck. We could have talked for days about old cars. I remember coming to recover you after your IED strike, and you helped be rebuild your truck after that too.

Crazy how we made it through all of that crap, just for this to happen. Words cant express my sorrow. Thank you for your service, my friend. Know that you are missed, and I wish we had a hundred thousand more like you in the service.

Regards...

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Every time I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the officer they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Deputy Pritchard. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. (The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. I can also be found on Face Book.) You will be in my thoughts.

From reading the reflections left for Chad, he sounds like he was a great man with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Chad's life and the MAN that he was. Remember that Chad's life was about so much more than the way he died. Chad will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.

Deputy Pritchard, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been seven years and a half years but he's still very much missed and forever loved.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)

To the family and friends of Deputy Chad Pritchard and his fellow deputies:

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Chad tragically died.

To the Pritchard family, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in the Bay Area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Chad gave to his community and the citizens of Tennessee, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on April 6, 2010.
