Reflections for Corporal Thomas Paul Jensen

Well honey a year ago yesterday you married my amazing daughter and became a forever part of our family. From the day Kristelle met you, you made her happier then I have ever seen her and I will never forget the look in your eyes when you sat they and asked her to marry you. Honey you would be so proud of her with all she has done and is doing and it is all for her forever true love. As a mother it hurts to see the pain sometimes but she has all of us to help her make it through the hard times and she has you forever beside her. You are missed more then we can ever tell you and you are and will always be our hero and my amazing son-in-law. I love you now and forever. I can't wait for the day I can stand on a chair and hug you again.

Tommy, you have been gone for 6 months and it doesn't seem to be any easier. You are missed so very very much. I know you are watching everything that is going on down here and are smiling at your Kristelle and what she is doing in your honor and just in her life. We both have something to be proud of in her, she is wonderful. Honey you will always be our hero and in our hearts and lives. Hey your boys (the 4 legged ones) are amazing also, they are all good boys. Love you Tommy, now and forever and miss you so very very much.

Tommy,

It's hard to believe that 6 months have now passed since that horrible night at PGH. It is still surreal. They say that time heals. It does not. Your loss is as devastating and as painful today as it was on March 9th, and everyday since then. There are no words to describe how much you are and will always be missed. Take care, Fallen Hero, and please continue to watch over us. Love you Bro.....

Tom,

Was nice to spend some time up on the hill with you this weekend. Football is starting and I am going to miss your weekly comments during the Redskin games. Good looking out for me on Wednesday, I know you were there, cause otherwise I think I would have ended up choking that DUI driver for smashing up my car! Samantha is driving now, I am sure you would have a blast with that one!

Miss you every day, always in our thoughts..

Hi honey, I haven't written to you in a little bit but you are in my heart and on my mind every single day. You were so very very missed at the beach this year by everyone. Kristelle did good but you could see in her eyes that she thought of you in previous years being there with all of us. Grandpa flew the flag for you and will always because you are always going to be there with us. The Hockey Game was amazing and the FOP 89er's did you proud. I know you were on the ice skating with them. I miss you so much honey and it seems that the past couple of days have been harder then usual. There is so much I want to tell you and talk to you about. I would love to just give you a big hug more then anything. Honey I know you are with us everyday. Kristelle is going to school and I know you are so proud of her as we all are. She is doing pretty and can't wait to get the puppies home with her again. We love you and miss you so very very much. You are and always will be our HERO and in our hearts and lives.

Hey Tommy,
Well haven't written to you in a while but by no means doesn't mean you haven't been in my thoughts.........
You were most definitely missed on our trip to the beach. It was a wonderful week and no doubt you would have loved it. Weather was great, Stella did an awesome job and as always you would have been so proud of her. This past weekend we went to another "AWESOME" fundraiser held in your honor and there were no disappointments there....all the way down to the massive effort to get Ava the little pink VW....Stella had to do her part by purchasing 40 tickets and we still didn't win it. But all was good when the woman that won it kindly took the goodies inside and gave the car to Ava. It was a happy ending for all of us!Well Tommy just wanted to touch base with you....as always you are in my thoughts and prayers daily and will continue to be as time passes!!! I thank God everyday for the time you were in our lives and will forever continue to be in our hearts. Love you and miss you more than words can express. God Bless you always! XOXOXOXO

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Every time I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the officer they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Corporal Jensen. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. (The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. I can also be found on Face Book.) You will be in my thoughts.

From reading the reflections left for Tom, he sounds like he was a great man with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Tom life and the MAN that he was. Remember that Tom's life was about so much more than the way he died. Tom will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.

Corporal Jensen, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been seven years and a half years but he's still very much missed and forever loved.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)

Tommy, if its possible I am missing you a little bit more today than yesterday. Today is 3 short/long months since you moved in with the angels. In one way it seems like forever since we saw your smile, heard your laugh, but yet in another way seems like just yesterday. Although the pain from loosing you still remains so raw but yet the wonderful memories of you and and the good times we had with you are so fresh in my mind and they will forever remain that way. What makes this so tragic is that the world could definitely use more people like you Tommy.....especially us!
I have no doubt you are up there watching over Stella and of course proud as ever in how she has carried on day by day. She is a wonderful person and has carried on your legacy with spunk, charisma and a hell of alot of love!!!!!! You are thought of every single day Tommy. We love you, miss you more than words could ever say. You are the best of the best and will continue to live in our hearts FOREVER!!!!
Love always...... and hey how did you like the cool balloon i sent on your birthday.....i made the poem up myself...lol XOXOXOXO

I never know how to start these. I think of you everyday Tommy, and try to talk to you everyday too. Today is your birthday. It still breaks my heart every time I think of what happened. You were such a great friend. I miss your laughs.. I miss all the funny phone calls, I miss all the jokes you made on channel 1 that made my life so interesting. I know it must be hard for you looking down and taking care of all of the people that love you so much... because there are so many of us. I hope you knew and will always know how much you mean to us. I will NEVER forget our friendship, and I'll never forget you Tommy. Happy Birthday.

Well honey today is your 28th birthday and I just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday. You are so missed and loved. Saturday your beautiful wife celebrated you in a way you would be so very very proud of her. It was a wonderful party and she got you a birthday cake that was like nothing you have ever seen, it was your badge. There were so many of your friends and family to celebrate your memory and your birthday. Everyone had a wonderful time and the little kids all did balloons and let them go as they said "Happy Birthday Tommy". Honey I know you are watching out for all of us especially Kristelle and it helps knowing that. I know you are so proud of her. Today is a hard day not having you here but I know you are here in our hearts and thoughts always and forever. I love you Tommy. Until later honey xoxoxoxo

You were a good guy and a very dedicated officer. I found myself thinking about you when I was at work last week. I drove past the Fridays were we had dinner together and I started smiling thinking about how you and Franky had me cracking up!!! God bless you my brother and may you rest in peace. To the family and friends of Corporal Tom Jensen and his fellow officers:

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Tom tragically died.

To Tom's family, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in the Bay Area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the dedicated service Tom gave to his community and the citizens of Maryland, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on March 9, 2010.

Hey Tommy,
Friday we all went to the Fallen Heroes Day Memorial where you and a fallen fire fighter were honored. Tommy I believe you were there with us and anyone reading this who was there in your honor will know exactly what I am talking about. Um huh.....may give someone a little hint. Lets just say it brought a chuckle to anyone who sat in earshot from our seats...and we all agreed you had something to do with it. As with every other event this too was a true honor to be a part of. Zack and Claudia let Julian skip school and come along to represent the family and he was soooo excited! He was a true angel the entire ceremony. Chris Long had some awesome cards made of you and yes Julian has slept with your picture by his side on the nightstand every night since. When he wakes up he puts it in his cargo pocket and says he's gonna "take you around". I think you are by far his favorite playmate. He talks about you all the time and some of the things he says can't help but bring a tear to my eyes! Oh how I wish you were here for him to grow up with but even though he can't see you, you will forever be in his heart and he will know and remember you through us and the stories we tell. Sunday was 2 months since you passed and please know you are thought of every day by many, many people. We love you and miss you more than you will ever know......take care till next time XOXOXOXO

Love Always, Aunt Terri

Hey honey, just wanted you to know that I miss you and love you lots, it is a tough day today. Hey you have got to be so proud of Kristelle she is really holding up most of the time. She has a couple of projects going and you would love them, I know you are up there watching it all happen and just shaking your head. The kitchen looks wonderful and we are all right there helping her in every way we can. Honey you are so missed and you are in our hearts and our lives forever. You will always be our Hero. Love you

Hey Tommy,
Had a great time this weekend at the Howard County Annual Fund Raiser which was played in your honor! Of course the "C-O-P-S" COPS,COPS,COPS won and I had to hear that chant from Julian and Ava for several hours the next day. They were both to pooped to cheer on the way home. Julian and I talked about you before we went and decided the cops in heaven were playing there own hockey game against the angels...I told him that would be a really tough one to call and said it would probably be a tie game!!! We saw alot of your squad and Stella was good....she even won $50 putting a puck in the side hole. But hey why am I telling you that you were right there...on her shoulder actually, you made that shot right? I can't tell you how much of an honor it is and what a great feeling it is to be a part of the functions held in or for your memory....They are definitely First Class...as are you! We love you and miss you Tommy more than you will ever know.

Love always XOXOXOXO
