As a corrections officer, myself, I understand the dangers we face but am still horrified each time something like this happens in our careers. We almost lost one of our own in December from a brutal attack that left him for dead. He is recovering slowly. I would like to thank your family for "my brother in arms" service to corrections and hope that your family reaches deep into your faith and memories to help you through this ordeal. I am so very sorry for your loss. May God carry you through.
