Cherie,
This was my great uncle. My father Marvin Gross, who has now passed away, told me the story of Bige's death many times. My dad was known to tell some rather tall tales, so I searched for it online and found out it was true. My grandfather, Bige's brother, name was William Gross. I would love to hear more if you have more information about Bige and what happened to his family. I love working on family history.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 78th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
