To the family and friends of Officer Craig Story --

My deepest sympathy goes out to you at this time.If you need anything, please reach out to me and ask during this difficult time. How proud you must be for having such a noble friend, husband, and father in your lives. What an amazing man he was from all I have read about him and his awards. Your son was so lucky to at least have him for the first two years and I pray for baby Story every day for you. He will one day get to meet his daddy and I know his big brother will be glad to fill him in. As I am glad that no AISD students were hurt, I am deeply saddened for your loss. I hope someday you can take comfort in reading these messages and knowing that he was truly loved by so many people. I am thankful for the service your husband has done for our country and for the city of Arlington. God bless your family at this time and know your sweet Craig is watching down on you at all times..

As a rookie officer I would speak with Officer Story about services calls, experiences, and life as an LEO. He would always have an openness and willingness to converse with me, and provide encouragement and words of wisdom to make me a better officer. He also usually accompanied his advice with a great story to get a laugh and ensured I was upbeat as I prepared to begin my shift. I will forever be grateful for having the opportunity to befriend such a great man and officer. My condolences go out to his family and may the peace of God guard you hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
