Your heroism and service is honored today, the second anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

Rest In Peace

I had never seen these reflections of the people Dan had come in contact with.....Or the comments made in regards to honoring Dan as a fellow Officer....It really reinforces the kindness of my brother's nature....He is missed more and more everyday, but I do take comfort in the heartfelt words of everyone who wrote on his page!!!! I pray for all families of fallen officers. I wish I never had to know what End Of Watch meant......

I had the pleasure of meating Ofc Leach at the CCDC, Yes I was an inmate for a short time. Ofc Leach is the man that helped turn my life around. I was watching a tv program on the Las Vegas jail and at the end of the show it said this show is dedicated to Ofc Leach, I was shocked. My heart goes out to his family.

Thank You Ofc. Leach for your patience and understanding.
You'll be missed.

I did not know Dan well. However, I remember vividly and fondly playing basketball in drive way at his parent's house years ago. We had a great time. Super nice guy. I think the world of his family and his brother and I are still friends even though we are literally a continent apart.

I Am the Officer
I have been where you fear to be,
I have seen what you fear to see,
I have done what you fear to do -
All these things I have done for you.

I am the person you lean upon,
The one you cast your scorn upon,
The one you bring your troubles to -
All these people I've been for you.

The one you ask to stand apart,
The one you feel should have no heart,
The one you call "The Officer in Blue,"
But I'm just a person, just like you.

And through the years I've come to see,
That I am not always what you ask of me;
So, take this badge...take this gun...
Will you take it...will anyone?

And when you watch a person die
And hear a battered baby cry,
Then do you think that you can be
All these things you ask of me?

The trouble with the laws these days is that criminals know their rights better than their wrongs.

Thank you to all Law Enforcement Agencies Around The World
for what you do to protect each and everyone one of us.
