God bless Officer Nettleton for the courage he has displayed and for paying the ultimate sacrifice with sheer heroism. Not only is this incredible officer a protector of his community, but also to his country. This is a man who was out to make a difference for the greater good. And he has. I cannot tell you the sadness of reading this notification. This man is a hero and our sincere prayers are with his wife, children, family, fellow LEOs and fellow Corps brothers. God bless you, Marine.

It is times like these when we are all reminded of just how much Police Officers all over the country put on line everyday. There are few jobs where a person puts his or her life on the line everyday to protect complete strangers. Police Officers are the sheepdogs protecting THEIR sheep from the wolves. I would like to extend my thanks to Officer Trevor Nettleton for his service to his people. I would also like to extend my deepest sympathy to Officer Nettleton's family, you are ALL in my prayers and the prayers of every officer at the Dodge City Police Department. God bless you all.

Being attacked in our own homes is an unbearable thought. Its bad enough on the street but you try to leave it there. You defended well and safeguarded your family. Rest well brother. Your family will be in my prayers. We have the watch.

I served with Officer Nettleton at MCSFCo. Bangor, and remember him as a very motivated Marine. I am saddened at such a senseless loss, and pray for the safekeeping of his family and for justice to be served swiftly and harshly for the guilty. Semper Fidelis Nettleton.
