Reflections for Sheriff Wad D. Allen

Sheriff Allen,
On today, the 80th anniversary of death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe during WW I as a member of the 30th “Old Hickory” Division.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 69th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

Sheriff Allen,
It has taken almost 68 years, but you and your fellow officer are finally being honored. I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Edgefield County. It took another two years, but your murderers finally got the justice that they deserved.
