It's "Police Week 2013",time set aside to honor the sacrifice of thousands of officers like you who gave their lives in service to their community. Thousands of people will see your name carved in the wall in Washington DC. As we take this week to honor the sacrifices that were made, I wanted to say that you are not forgotten. You are remembered and honored.

Your heroism and service is honored today on the 75th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
