We offer our heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends and colleagues of Sergeant Wilbur and we honor his distinguished service to the cause of justice and peace. Sadly, our nation has lost one of its finest citizens, a community has lost a friend and protector, and a family has lost an example of character and courage who they will love and respect forever.

To the family, friends, and colleagues of Sergeant Wilbur, I would like you to know that a lot of people pray for you, and my hope is that their prayers will give you the strength necessary to move on. Just as you were always with him when he walked the beat or patrolled the streets, know that he will always be with you - wherever you may be. In the days to follow, may you be strengthened by the fact that Sergeant Wilbur is a man distinguished by exceptional courage and will always be admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. You, your family, and your sacrifice will never be forgotten.

It was their duty to serve; it is ours to remember.

Marc, it was an honor to speak at your funeral, I will never forget it.

I can not express how much your friendship means to Gailyn and I. I'll always remember the good times we had on and off duty.

I think of you everyday and miss you very much. Gailyn and I love you and your family very much.

The next time we meet will be in Heavan, we are going to play some air guitar with Van Halen and eat at a Chinese Buffet.

My Brother,

Marc when I left to go up North for Christmas I told you that I would see you in a couple of weeks. When they called me Christmas morning to tell me you were gone, I didn't want to believe that it was true. You were a true friend that I will always remember and our friendship was from the "Northern School of Brotherhood" as we often talked about. You are missed every day on every watch. You gave your all to assure the safety of others with little asked in return.
I have seen Adam and your Dad a few times and they are doing great. I will be there if they need something so don't worry my Brother, I have my eyes on them. Rest in Peace and until we meet again, Love and Miss You Brother.

Marc,

You were my best friend and will always be my brother. We shared so many laughs together and arrested so many bad guys. You were the best cop! I would give anything to have you back here with us. We miss you and this place will never be the same without you. We will look after Adam and your father for they are our family too. Every time I've seen Adam since your death he has been so strong. He is a great little man and you are the reason he is as strong as he is. You taught that boy what it means to be a man and he will continue to make you proud. I miss you and love you Marc. Rest easy brother, for we have the watch.

Marc,

Not a day passes that you are not remembered by those of us who had the priveledge of working with you. You taught many of us what it meant to be a cop, and a friend. There are so many stories that I could fill this page and not even begin to explain how loved and missed you are. Its been said a hundred time since Christmas, but give me "Just Five More Minutes!"

To Adam and the Wilbur family,
The members of the Avon Park Police Department are here for you---always.

Rest easy Marc---We Have The Watch---and I will see you again.

I love and miss you,
Dan Schneider #7109
