By William Butler Yeats
I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made;
Nine bean rows will I have there, a hive for the honeybee,
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.

And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;
There midnight's all a-glimmer, and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnet's wings.

I will arise and go now, for always night and day
I hear the water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements gray,
I hear it in the deep heart's core.

I am just saddened by the disrespect people have for someones life , they don't realize this effects so many other people that are left behind , and for his widow God be with you thru this sadness , things are going to get sadder before they get better, but somehow we always get thru these tough times and they make us stronger, Cherish your baby for they are a part of the man you loved so dearly, God bless you and your family

Dear John, you were so young, so good looking, you had a great job and a beautiful wife!. What everyman dreamed of. All that was taken in the blink of an eye. Why? No one will know but God. Take comfort in knowing that your wife Kim and baby will be takencare of by all of us here in Philadelphia; just as your fellow brother and sisters in blue are being taken care of down here and their families. Thanks so much for your service. It was a pleasure knowing you and your family. God bless and may the gentle hand of God be on your family from this day forward

thank you to officer pawlowski for your willingness to make the ultimate sacrifice. It is not how he died but the fact that he was willing to do whatever it took to help the people of philadelphia that made him a hero to so many. It is people like john and the other great officers who have gone before him who have inspired me to become a police officer. god bless kim and the entire pawloski family and please be sure that his son knows of the hero his father was

I, like thousands of other Police Officers from around the country and Canada, had the honor of attending Officer Pawlowski's funeral on a bitterly cold February day in Philadelphia. To be able to pay homage to a courageous "brother" who gave his all for his city was the least that we could do. To see his expecting wife of only a few months suffering his loss, as Commisioner Ramsey put it "to have your future stolen and a baby that will never know his father" really hit home. Philadelphia PD has lost too many officers over the last 2 years and we all have lost another hero. John, RIP Brother as we will continue your watch and I am sure Philly PD will take care of your family. They always do!!

Your family will never understand why this had to happen to you, but they do know you are a HERO and you will always be in their hearts. I am sorry you had to make the ultimate sacrifice. You gave up your life to protect the lives of others. I pray your family finds peace.

I read with such sadness the notes on your site. We too lost a loved one Robert Stanze, EOW 8/8/00 whose wife was pregnant with twins at the time of his senseless death.
While the pain never goes away, the children are now 8 years old, happy, healthy and being told wonderful stories about the father who was never able to meet them.
I pray that your family and friends find some peace in the days ahead and that your wife delivers a healthy baby in your honor...she will never be alone as she will always have a sea of blue to love and protect her. God Speed Officer Pawlowski, God Speed!
