Pawlowski Family -

Here we go again, I can't believe we are going through this again. If I could bring Johnnie back for you, I would walk right up to heaven and do it in a heartbeat. However, God must have needed more protection up there for some reason, and he for sure gained a true HERO and angel! Mrs. Pawlowski, being so close in age to you I can't imagine being in your position, I have cried with you and I have continued to pray for you and that unborn baby. May that baby give you some peace, as John will be there ever step of the way as your guardian. John, THANKS. THANKS for giving it your all, hero doesn't even begin to describe it. God Speed.

I read about your story tonight. I learned about your dad and brother, both cops, your pregnant wife, and the thug that ended your life. I read about your agency and how many officers you've lost recently. It made me so sad inside and so angry at the same time.
You did not die in vain - it is an experience to be learned from, not to be forgotten. We've got it from here, brother!

“ Policeman’s Prayer”

When I start my tour of duty God,
Wherever crime may be,
As I walk the darkened streets alone,
Let me be close to thee.

Please give me understanding with
Both the young and old.
Let me listen with attention
Until their story’s told..
Let me never make a judgment
In a rush or callous way,
But let me hold my patience
Let each man have his say

Lord if some dark and dreary night,
I must give my life,
Lord, with your everlasting love
Protect my children and my wife.

Exeter Borough Police Dept, Pa

Officer John Pawlowski Our Angel In Blue

It’s the same old story but with a different name
Another Brother in Blue has died in vain
Another protector of the people has been taken away
And yet another criminal lives to breathe another day

We ask our Brothers and Sisters to take an oath
We ask them to protect us and to serve our needs
But why must we stand around helplessly each time
While we watch as another one of our heroes bleeds

They sacrifice their life to become their neighbor’s shields
We must come together to give them the support they need
It’s our lives they seek to cover from this city plagued with crime
And it’s our responsibility to make sure this is the last time

We all as people have the ability to clean what has become dirty
We have the ability to take what’s negative and turn into good
We have the same duty to each other as our beloved heroes in Blue
The cleanup of this city of Un-brotherly love must start with me and you

Dedicated To The Memory Of Our Angel In Blue Officer John Pawlowski

To the family of this fallen officer: I was getting on to leave a reflection for Toledo Detective Keith Dressel and I came across this. It will be 2 years 21 February and it seems like just yesterday we lost our friend. I send my thoughts and prayers to this family for their loss just as other strangers did when Officer Dressel died. It may seem like a long road to ever feeling better but you will.

"My Brother"

Although I never met him, I knew him.
He was idealistic and believed he could make a difference.
He was immensely proud of the uniform and the badge and what they represent.
He felt privileged to be of service to his department, his community and to his country.

He was a cop.

Although I never met him, I knew him.
He was friendly, courteous, and polite, yet firm.
He laughed and joked, but was serious when necessary.
He was competent, trained, and professional.

He was a cop.

Although I never met him, I knew him.
He had a strong sense of right and wrong and became
frustrated when true justice became sidetracked.
He felt the sharp criticism that goes with the job, but he
never wavered.
He stood by and for his fellow officers.

He was a cop.

Although I never met him, I knew him.
He longed for his family during the long hours.
He worried about them during his shifts and the lonely
weekends, holidays and midnights when they were apart.
He felt guilty about the lost time, but knew his calling
and prayed they would understand.

He was a cop.

Although I never met him, I knew him.
He was a good son, a loving husband, and a devoted father.
He was dedicated to the profession and cared about the
people he served.
He wanted to do the best job that he could and strived to
be the best he could be.
He was a good citizen and a good neighbor.

He was a cop.

Yes, I did know him.
He was a cop, he was my Brother.

Rest easy Brother Pawlowski, we have the watch...

”I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”
---Isaiah 6:8

You answered the call and made the ultimate sacrifice. Rest easy in God's kingdom and watch over us as we continue the battle here on earth!!!
