Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect, and your memory will always be honored and revered. .
I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. I hold your family in my heart's embrace today
.Rest In Peace

Curt will be missed by all his fraternity brothers of Sigma Phi Epsilon from Northern Arizona University and our hearts go out to his family. I lost contact with Curt over the years and I was looking him up to try to reconnect when I heard the news. He and I drove back from college to California together and we were part of the same pledge class. I still remember we were trying to figure out who would make a great pledge class president when voices got out of control. Curt jumped up on the table began to walk back and forth to take control of the meeting. That spoke to us all. He was elected. He was a leader and he at the time was a volunteer firefighter devoting his life to saving lives. He continued to worked hard with his studies, firefighting, and with his fraternity. I tip my hat to him and I have a heart felt respect for Curt an extrodinary individual. May he rest in peace.
