Reflections for Police Officer Robert Anthony Davis

I worked with Officer Davis, he was a young solid Officer and he had a bright future as a very successful police officer. He was a joy to work with and be around. He will never be forgotten and he made this world a better place to live in.

Officer Davis,
On today, the 10th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just for your Community but for our Country as well when you served with the USMC in Iraq as a member of the 1st Mar Div. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Davis,

I served with you in Corps (Bravo 1/5)...remember when we came down to SA in 2003 before heading off to Oki...and then to Fallujah?? We were on recruiting assistance...and talked about what we were going to do after getting out. I remember seeing you at the convention center where we took the civil exam and talked briefly before leaving. The next time I saw you was on the news. That day...I had been Christmas shopping at Ingram Mall and tried to go down Potranco Rd to go home. Little did I know...it was you. I let all of our Brothers know what happened. 1stSgt was very sad...as we all were.

You were an outstanding Marine and I'm certain that you were the same as an officer. You'll always be that tall red headed string bean that I joked around with while in the Corps.

Rest in Peace Brother. Keep those streets of Gold in Heaven safe. We've got it down here.

Prayers for Officer Davis' family and friends during this time. I took care of Officer Davis while he was at WHMC. His death profoundly affected me because I had just lost my own brother, CCPD Officer Matthew Theabeau earlier that year. Officer Davis is laid to rest not far from my brother, so on my brother's EOW anniversary on 20 JAN, my mom and I visited Officer Davis' site as well and left flowers. I hope that the SAPD is as supportive of the family as the CCPD has been for us. Thanks for the work that you all do. I just arrived back from Iraq last weekend and understand intimately about sacrifice and the service rendered to others. God bless you all...
