Alex, I was just thinking about you today. Because we don’t expect to lose someone so young, I never got to say thanks for being Matt’s big (step) brother. I will always remember your smile. We were all so proud to know you. Love always.

Knew you briefly. You and Verdugo gave us new comers(rookies) a heads up on the does and don’t at HPD. In 4 days you will have been gone for 10 years! Just wanted to thank you posthumously, albeit many years too late, for the words of wisdom. Condolences to your family. Rest In Peace Alex. Lost but not forgotten.

I did not have the privilege of knowing you. However I know many of your fellow officers and some of your family now. I look for your name in Tallahassee and DC when I am there. Resting in peace, you are always remembered.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever

I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERY DAY AT WORK WHEN I PASS BY YOUR ROAD SIDE MEMORIAL. WHEN I LOOK DOWN AT MY WRIST AND SEE MY BRACELET IT IS A CONSTANT REMINDER OF HOW LIFE IS SO PRECIOUS AND CAN BE CUT SHORT AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT. I GET SO SAD KNOWING I'LL NEVER GET TO SEE YOU AGAIN - BUT I THANK GOD FOR ALLOWING ME THE HONOR OF KNOWING AND WORKING WITH YOU EVEN IF FOR A SHORT TIME. YOU TRULY ARE MISSED.
