I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERY DAY AT WORK WHEN I PASS BY YOUR ROAD SIDE MEMORIAL. WHEN I LOOK DOWN AT MY WRIST AND SEE MY BRACELET IT IS A CONSTANT REMINDER OF HOW LIFE IS SO PRECIOUS AND CAN BE CUT SHORT AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT. I GET SO SAD KNOWING I'LL NEVER GET TO SEE YOU AGAIN - BUT I THANK GOD FOR ALLOWING ME THE HONOR OF KNOWING AND WORKING WITH YOU EVEN IF FOR A SHORT TIME. YOU TRULY ARE MISSED.

It seems every day I am at work, somehow your name is brought up. Everyone misses you, and the pain of your absence is only dulled...for you are never forgotten.
I know you're proud of us and what we did. I thank you so much for protecting me (and everyone else) and for helping me to complete my goal almost completely unscathed.
I am trying to be the best person I can be since you've gone. I owe you that much, if not more.
I miss you so much my friend. We will NEVER forget you.
Love,
Me

Haven't written in awhile. I've been trying to be a better person since you've been gone. Don't know how that's working out, but figured you'd get a good chuckle at my attempt. :) I miss you a lot. I'd really like to know when it's not going to hurt so much. I just had a good cry missing you. I don't think I'm quite done yet, but I'll just keep looking for dragonflies in the winter, hoping you're around. I love and miss you bro. Very much.

Little did they know that day,
your life would tragically be taken away.
Leaving your family in despair,
finding it hard to breathe for air.
When suddenly it became clear,
Alex would no longer be here.
They cant help but scream...
praying for a miracle, that it's only a dream.
With each passing day, wishing you were alive,
they look to the sky and wonder why?
God needed you more
calling your name that fateful day.
Love will live on and never leave,
and may your family always believe...
when they feel a breeze upon there face,
it's your touch and amazing grace.
With the memory of your radiant smile,
may it comfort them for awhile.
The hero you are will never part,
your legacy will forever, live in their hearts.
In loving memory of

We thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday, and the day before that, too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories, and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake,
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keepings, we have you in our hearts.
Love and miss you so much. Always thinking of you. Please continue to keep us all safe.

Alex,
It's now been some time since you've been taken from us and the hurt and pain still doesn't go away. I am constantly reminded of this lost and to know that we can't hang out anymore hurts me so much. I miss you a lot. I know one day we'll meet up again.

I only got to know you for such a short time but you have left a lasting impression. Still miss you man, not a day goes by that I don't think about you. You were taken way too early. I wish I could just go back in time and change things so you could still be here with us. Godspeed, rest in peace brother. I know you are watching over us. May your family and friends which I know still can not believe you're gone, have strength to get through. Love you and miss you.

I am shocked and terribly saddened about my friend passing. I knew Alex through a detail that he worked from time to time last year, at the time I was a security guard. I admired him as a police officer and a person, We would talk about everything from cars to cop stuff,I even got to see him in action once. I am now a police officer and I have more of an understanding of what he meant when talking about the politics of police work. I will always remember his sense of humor and his professionalism. He is truly missed...
