Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever

It is now and Officer dies that makes them a hero, it is how they lived! God needed another Angel and you answered his call. The bell with always toll for you my friend, you are gone but you will NEVER be forgotten. In Valor their is Honor 2513.

I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERY DAY AT WORK WHEN I PASS BY YOUR ROAD SIDE MEMORIAL. WHEN I LOOK DOWN AT MY WRIST AND SEE MY BRACELET IT IS A CONSTANT REMINDER OF HOW LIFE IS SO PRECIOUS AND CAN BE CUT SHORT AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT. Man alex what I'd give to go back to one of the many nights we stayed up texting and talking with me at work in the hospital and u out on the streets... "you gave them a warning right....?" lol. I think about u still all the time and I'm so grateful for everything u have done for me over the many years. My Tuesday nights r never the same. I actually never go anymore. :( and I always smile when I hear Tina turner now because of you- thanks again- it's was an awesome concert :). I love u. See you nov 22 again. Love you!

It seems every day I am at work, somehow your name is brought up. Everyone misses you, and the pain of your absence is only dulled...for you are never forgotten.

I know you're proud of us and what we did. I thank you so much for protecting me (and everyone else) and for helping me to complete my goal almost completely unscathed.

I am trying to be the best person I can be since you've gone. I owe you that much, if not more.

Haven't written in awhile. I've been trying to be a better person since you've been gone. Don't know how that's working out, but figured you'd get a good chuckle at my attempt. :) I miss you a lot. I'd really like to know when it's not going to hurt so much. I just had a good cry missing you. I don't think I'm quite done yet, but I'll just keep looking for dragonflies in the winter, hoping you're around. I love and miss you bro. Very much.

It's now been some time since you've been taken from us and the hurt and pain still doesn't go away. I am constantly reminded of this lost and to know that we can't hang out anymore hurts me so much. I miss you a lot. I know one day we'll meet up again.

I only got to know you for such a short time but you have left a lasting impression. Still miss you man, not a day goes by that I don't think about you. You were taken way too early. I am shocked and terribly saddened about my friend passing. I knew Alex through a detail that he worked from time to time last year, at the time I was a security guard. I admired him as a police officer and a person, We would talk about everything from cars to cop stuff,I even got to see him in action once. I am now a police officer and I have more of an understanding of what he meant when talking about the politics of police work. I will always remember his sense of humor and his professionalism. He is truly missed...
