I was a young police officer with the Nacogdoches Police Department when agent Brown died. I was honored to have been chosen as one of the representatives of NPD at his service. Agent Brown was well liked at NPD and a respected agent.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 39th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Special Agent Brown, thank you for your service to our great Country. It is sad that your own Department seems to have forgotten you and the ultimate sacrifice you made.

Rest in peace.

So many lives affected by a driver who decided that her need to get to her turn ahead of the truck was more important than the safety of those around her. Hopefully, she and the children that were with her, learned a valuable lesson (at so great of a cost to Agent Brown, his family, and friends). If by learning that lesson, more lives are saved, then Agent Brown's death will not have been in vain. RIP Agent Brown.
