To the Macri family. I retired in February 2007. I just found out today that Frank passed away. Frank would come in to the M.D.office where I worked in L.I.C. Despite all the medical problems he had to endure he was an upbeat, friendly and wonderful person. I am very sorry to here about your loss.

I can't believe it's been 3 years since you left us. We miss you so much. We think about all the plans we made with each other now that the girls are grown and off to college. Life without you just isn't the same and what I would give to relive all the fun we had or to cook one more big meal for you. We love you and wish you were here. God bless you, I know you are with him now.

To Frank and all his loved ones:
Frank, you rescued us, saved our possessions, our lives and our families. You are one of the rare heroes among us. You were always there for us in the most traumatic moments of our lives, especially on that fateful day of 9/11 and in its aftermath where you contracted the deadly disease that robbed you of your life. No matter when we called, we just expected that you would come and do whatever it took to help us, and you always met our expectations. Your selflessness and dedication are awe-inspiring.
This world, this country, your community truly are better places because of you. To have lost you is a great tragedy, an irreplaceable, immeasurable loss for society. We are grateful for and to you, and honor you for all you did for us day in and day out whether or not you received a word of thanks or praise.
Rest in Peace, Frank. Your memory is honored and revered today, the first anniversary of your death, and everyday.

May god be with you and your family. Know that many including me are very proud of how the entire law enforcement community of New York came together and showed the world what America is made of. It is made of men such as yourself who gave all for those you did not even know. I will shed a tear for you this day and will work to honor your memory. God Bless.

It is always a sad day to learn that another LEO has died as a result of an illness or injury sustained in the line of duty. May God have mercy on the soul's of all we have lost. Some day we will all meet again at Gods side but for those of us that responded to the WTC attack that September day it may be sooner than any of us had expected.
