Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Sheriff David Raymond Moreland

Thank you for this website. I too am a grandniece of David Moreland and was delighted to find this web page. It means a lot especially in these difficult times. I have a teenage son that knows little about his ancestors. My prayer is that my son will discover what a rich history his family has. Thanks to all the other people who left reflections!
God bless,
Deana Fenocchi

I have a copy of the newspaper article about this event and a photograph of the Sheriff's grave marker if anyone is interested in seeing it. He was buried in Terrell County Georgia near the town of Sasser.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 96th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
