Reflections for Correction Officer Kenny Michael Duncan

I knew Kenny from Junior’s where i worked and he was an exceptionally kind person who made me feel as if I knew him my entire life. At his funeral, one of the three men of faith presiding looked over the packed church, which was SRO, and as he smiled he said, “I know Kenny touched each and everyone of you in someway for you to have come here today.” And he was certainly right. I didn't know Kenny for very many years, less than ten, but his kindness and humanity just radiated and I truly felt it, heand for that I feel blessed and grateful that he touched my life. The world is a better place because he was here.

Former Juniors employee.

Kenny was a good officer and a better man. I seen him defuse situations with crazy inmates in minutes. Nothing ever got to him. R.I.P. Ken.

Kenny you are the wind beneath my wings.
It must have been cold there in my shadow
To never have sunlight on your face
You were content to let me shine, that's your way
You always walked a step behind

So I was the one with all the glory
While you were the one with all the strength
A beautiful face without a name for so long
A beautiful smile to hide the pain

Did you ever know that you're my hero
And everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings, Love you

Hey bruddah,

Last night you popped into my head and I could run from it. This thing hurts bad. You can see my kids and family, but we can feel, see nor entertain your physical presences. God knows what He's doing. It was your time, I don't like it. Though I will "Cowboy up" and "Keep it movin'", which are the words you said to me in 2007 the night of your moms anniversary party in your van. Brudday I love you and miss you so much. I wish you still had time left... Love you bruddah!!!!

Just in case I don't make it home tonight
Let me make love to you for the last time, baby
Wanna cherish each moment like the last
'Cause baby you're all that I have, so just in case

Haven't I made you feel so special?
As your man I've held your hand, never letting go
Let you hold the keys to the Lex, huh to drive
Gave you all you need and more as long as I'm alive

Even from the heavens up above, I'll shine out our love
Too much is never enough, ooh,. you're all I want
Even when I'm gone, your love will carry on
It's just that strong, so just in case

The sun is shining, there's plenty of light
A new day is dawning, sunny and bright
But after I've been crying all night
The sun is cold and the new day seems old
Since I lost my baby
Oh since I lost my baby

The birds are singing and the children are playing
There's plenty of work and the bosses are paying
Not a sad word should a young heart be saying
But fun is a bore
And with money I'm poor
Since I lost my baby (Since I lost my baby)
Oh since I lost my baby

No Woman No Cry lyrics

'Cause I remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in Trenchtown
Oba, ob-serving the hypocrites
As they would mingle with the good people we meet
Good friends we have had, oh good friends we've lostalong the way
In this bright future you can't forget your past
So dry your tears I say

No woman, no cry
No woman, no cry
Little darlin' don't shed no tears
No woman, no cry

Said, said, said I remember when we used to sit
In the government yard in Trenchtown
And then Georgie would make the fire light
Log wood burnin' through the night
Then we would cook corn meal porridge
Of which I'll share with you
My feet is my only carriage

So I've got to push on through
But while I'm gone...

Ev'rything's gonna be alright
So, no woman, no cry
No, no woman, no woman, no cry
Oh, little darling, don't shed no tears
No woman, no cry

No woman, no woman, no woman, no cry
No woman, no cry
Oh, my little darlin' please don't shed no tears
No woman, no cry, yeah

ONE LOVE BABE
