Reflections for Special Agent Dillard William Wiley
Special Agent Wiley, today marks the 76th anniversary of your murder. You did your job and you did it to the very end. I find it amazing that you were able to wound the scum who shot you and disable him so that he could be arrested. You are an example of true heroism and have not been forgotten.
Railroad Police are not as common as they once were. The women, and men such as yourself do a tough job protecting one of America’s most vital assets, it’s rail system but sheer economics has caused many railroads to rely on overburdened local police to handle that protection. I thank you for your efforts in the past and I thank your decedents for their efforts today.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
