Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Town Marshal Everett Smith

I have recently been conducting research in attempt to find information on Marshal Smith. I just sent an update to his memorial. Even though over a century has passed since Marshal Smith paid the ultimate sacrifice, our department carries on and stands proudly behind his memory. We thank you Marshal Smith for your sacrifice in keeping the town, which at the time was in its infant stage, safe. I will be building and placing a shadow box memorial in our station and will update his memorial again as soon as I finish gathering information on him. I hope you rest easy Sir, and know that your death was not in vain.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 109th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never dimishes respect, and your memory will always be honored and revered

The person that took you away may have thought he outsmarted the law but there is a Perfect Judge that no-one ever outsmarts. The Perfect Judge will be the one to pass final sentence for your murder. May you Rest In Peace now and always.
