Bert (Gi-Gi),

It's yet another year, at least this one you get to spend in heaven with Anna-Mae. It was you that got me interested in law enforcement, from the first time you let me ride in the cruiser with you. I feel the time we were able to spend together helped keep me focused on what I wanted in life and kept me straight. Just wanted to say that I am glad you two are finally together. Tell Anna-Mae we love you all.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 19th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace.
